just a pilates princess

justapilatesprincess logo

there is no such thing as a "pilates body" — any body that practices pilates is a pilates body

justapilatesprincess was created from that feeling, the idea anyone can be a pilates princess

i hope to embody this principle as i continue to learn, instruct, and grow

why pilates?

what started as a form of rehabilitation has become, for the most part, inaccessible to the common person.

pilates was designed to help people perform their activities of daily life (ADL) regardless of age or physical condition. it is the combination of mobility, strength, and breathing that makes pilates an incredible and functional form of movement.

i strive to be the kind of instructor that breaks down any and all barriers to pilates, whether that is cost, aesthetic, or language.

my style

our bodies are much more capable than what we give them credit for. we cam breathe slowly, find our safe neutral, and take our time moving, and still get an incredible workout. i love to teach restoratively and help people find their mind-body connection...

...but i also love to dance. i've always been proud of where i come from, and my love for my cultural roots has allowed me to create a new form of movement that is authentic to who i am: Desi-lates (Dance & Pilates Fusion).

Desi-lates
(Dance & Pilates Fusion)

my own invention

combines storytelling of classical South Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) with movement principles of Pilates

you'll move with intention, learn natya & abhinaya, and experience a full body workout
